Wild Bore destroy fairways
Iles des Borromees Golf Club的点评
点评：We played at this course on the 18th sept 2024 and the views of the mountains are truely fantastic but the condition of the course was in the view of the group(8 people) was very poor. So, I am writting this post to ensure that other golfers are aware of the issues.
Seems there are three main issues from our persepctive.
1, major issue with the fairways not sure if very dry or wet but the grass has been damaged. Need preffered lie and that was difficult on some holes as no grass.
2. Wild bore and badger are searching for grubs under the grass and this has caused major damage. Not sure what the plan is but they are difficult to erradicate without repeated spraying. I know this as our village cricket green was devastaed several years ago and took a long time to fix.
3. The third issue during our visit is that the greenkeeper had used a very large scarifier on some of the fairways to start the restoration work.
We spoke with our agency who communicated our views but I have to conclude that they are not in agreement with us. They have offered a voucher but would not take the risk again. They also did not inform the agency of any problems before our trip so the agency is less than pleased as it feflects badly on them
