High Green's Fees, okay condition
Shalimar Pointe Golf and Country Club的点评
点评：Me and my two normal golfing buddies decided to give Shalimar Pointe a try since the course renovation was completed and the course is back open for business. We last played Shalimar about 2 years ago, prior to closure for the renovation. We decided to play after 12 pm for what we thought were reduced green's fees, to our surprise they were not, since we called and booked directly over the phone versus booking on-line ($84 vs $54 on-line). The course is in okay shape, the fairways were fairly dry, grass was patchy in areas, but a lot less weeds than before the renovation. The greens were in good shape, again a little dry, however; they had just been fertilized so there was a fairly strong odor when you were on or near the green. The tee boxes weren’t great some were very hard to place your tee into the ground. There were some noticeable improvements made, e.g., new cart paths & carts, added a new bathroom, moved at least one tee box, improved some sand traps/hazards & improved the fairways slightly. Our overall consensus impression, the course is in okay condition, but it doesn’t warrant the relatively high green’s fees (direct vs. on-line). It seemed to us that most of the changes were cosmetic in nature, maybe our expectations were too high. There are several other courses in the area that are in better shape and more affordable to play
