Nailed it in Less than a Day!
Beach at Daytona Beach的点评
点评：Daytona in a Day. Certainly a full week would be preferred but I only had time for a quick day trip and I took full advantage of it.
Spent the morning treasure hunting in the 6th Best Flea/Farmers Market in the World.
Over a thousand booths with millions of items - and a very yummy Italian Sausage morning snack :) .... and, we were lucky enough to be there on the first Saturday of the month when they host a Fabulous Classic Car Show!
Once I was "shopped out" we headed across the parking lot to meet up with our helicopter pilot from Leading Edge Helicopter Tours for a "birds eye view" of Daytona. They have 6 flight options and we chose the "Beach Cruise". A 23 mile loop that takes us past the racetrack, over the Halifax River, and then the highlight - The World's Most Famous Beach!! I cannot imagine another way to fully experience and appreciate the size and beauty of this majestic stretch of soft sand, deep blue sky, and mesmerizing ocean!
Heading back we do a quick loop over the Atlantic right above our next stop -
the Main Street Pier. A stroll down the 1000 ft historic pier finds us watching locals attempting to catch their fish lunch, we decide to to take a more guaranteed approach and catch a table in Joe's Crab Shack. Between the tableside bursting of the steam inflated Seafood Boil Pouch to the server's hair raising scream as the "Shark Attack" drink is being poured, it was definitely a dinner and show!!
To wrap up our experience a nice stroll down the beach to watch one of the most captivating sunsets. What a perfect Day!
