Avoid doing any pooja. Just do darshan
Baba Baidyanath Temple的点评
点评：Shri Baidyanath Dham has to be one place which is totally controlled by pandits.
For starters, there is a vip darshan for 300. But the entry cards are available only to pandits. So I reached her before 5, but the darshan didn't start before 6. I was told that I would stand in line and Pandit would get the entry card. Now imagine this is true for everyone. Once the card counter opened, all the pandits went there, and came back with cards forcing their people inside. So that line meant nothing. There was stampede like situation and 3 policemen couldn't get the crowd under control. Eventually, the vip line and normal line merged 100 metres before the temple.
Then I had booked (I say booked, but it was merely phone call) jalabhishek for 1100 rupees. But the pandit wanted 2000 rupees, because apparently 2 of them helped me get near the shivling. Inside the garbh, while performing the jalabhishek puja, there was pushing and snatching, with every pandit wanting his clients (I am using the word client instead of yajmaan because that's what we were) to come to shivling. After this, another pandit, who is inside the garbh asked for money, because he, not the pandit I paid, helped me in jalabhishek. I said I would pay outside and he should come outside. After this, the pandit wanted me to perform few other poojas, starting from 1100, but I refused.
Honestly, I have never seen such mis management in any of the jyotirlings or any other temple. The pandits have their names printed on mandir walls, which is just disgraceful.
