Usery Mountain Regional Park的点评
点评：We came here as we were touring around Tortilla Flat and the Mesa area and we wanted to get out of the car for a bit of a walk. We asked at the Visitor Centre, if we could just do a 20 min. walk of one small trail, instead of paying for longer, which was okay with the fellow. After walking thru a lovely trail, we liked it so came back in, and decided to pay, to do a different trail, which was longer. Being my hubby's first trip to the desert, he really enjoyed seeing all the cactus varieties and bushes. At one point, I said we should turn around to go back, so we did, and shortly after, we heard a coyote do their howl, kind of close by, so not knowing what to, or how many to expect, we started running back, and kept running as we kept hearing yipping sounds. We didn't know if one or more were following. It was scary for us, as we didn't know if there was a pack of them, or a parent wanting to protect young ones! We finally got far enough back to the Centre, and out of breath, we walked back. Much later-on, we figured it was a parent coyote doing a warning howl to their yipping babies. We did enjoy the first part of our desert adventure! We would do it again, and we did it while rattlesnakes were still in hibernation!
翻译：我们来这里的时候，正在游览 Tortilla Flat 和 Mesa 地区，我们想下车走一小段路。我们在游客中心询问，我们是否可以只走一条小路 20 分钟，而不是付费走更长时间，那位先生同意了。走过一条可爱的小路后，我们很喜欢，所以又回来了，决定付费走另一条更长的路。这是我丈夫第一次来沙漠，他非常喜欢看到各种仙人掌和灌木丛。有一次，我说我们应该转身回去，所以我们就回去了，不久之后，我们听到一只郊狼在附近嚎叫，所以不知道会发生什么，也不知道会有多少只，我们开始往回跑，一直跑着，因为我们一直听到嚎叫声。我们不知道是否有一只或多只狼跟着我们。这让我们很害怕，因为我们不知道是否有一群郊狼，或者是否有父母想要保护幼崽！我们终于回到了中心，气喘吁吁地往回走。很久以后，我们才意识到这是一只郊狼父母在向它们尖声叫喊的幼崽发出警告的嚎叫。我们确实很享受沙漠探险的第一部分！我们会再来一次，而且我们是在响尾蛇还在冬眠的时候做的！
