点评:We went on a west coast tour recently, which included a number of drives and walks to see redwoods. The first we went to was the Avenue of the Giants. I am not able to give directions to get there, because we were in a tour in a bus. It was just off of Hwy 101, in Humboldt County and is a fairly narrow and circuitous scenic road through some VERY tall trees. We stopped at a couple of trails, and a small visitors center. One of the trails we went on was called the Gould Grove Nature Loop. It was adjacent the visitors center we went to, and took us out among the redwoods. There are many trees, and lots of undergrowth of a variety of plants, tons of ferns, and "small" (meaning ordinary sized) trees. There were some fallen trees where you could really get an idea of the massiveness of the trees. There was also another trail going off in a different direction. There were restrooms by the visitors center. We were there in September and the traffic was not heavy on the road.
