点评:We went to see The Nutcracker by the Russian Classical Ballet and it was a disaster. First of all, there was no coat check. We had to roll our coats and scarf and try to arrange them on our seats (that are just enough for a person to sit,.. obviously). That didn’t work and my husband had to hold all of that on his lap for the whole length of the performance (I am very pregnant so I couldn’t). There was no announcement of any kind (like usually at the theaters the ask you not to take photos and so on, announce the length of the intermission, etc.). From the moment the show started and until very end the audience behaved as wild animals - they were openly talking, humming, singing with the music compositions they knew, taking photos with flash on. We shushed people a bunch of times and nothing changed. Such a disrespect to the artists and to the other members of the audience. I’ve never seen anything like that. To conclude all that, the ballet itself was laughable. So amateur and unprofessional. Who on earth chose to work with this production in their sober mind is a mystery to me.
