Sadly, one of my only 1 star reviews ever! Owner very unfriendly and worried about 5 cent samples!

点评：Sadly, our experience was disappointing and I will avoid this brewery. I love local breweries and am a strong supporter of them. At the other local breweries in and around Bonita Springs we are known and welcomed by name and love the staff. We tip generously and love our staff. On our first visit to Chubby Mermaid we were not greeted or welcomed by staff, who I now know was one of the owners. My wife asked for a sample and was told very curtly she could only have two. This is an immediate turn off. Most breweries welcome new customers and are proud of their creations and welcome you to sample. In fact many ask your favorite style and make suggestions. This owner did none of this and was only concerned with the nickel it cost him for each sample. Keep in mind, we are in our fifties and usually not perceived as trying to get free beer through samples! I am very respectful and usually limit my samples to only one or two. As someone who has been connected to this industry and seen the financials of breweries I would recommend to these owners to do a better job of cultivating their local customer base. Are you really that concerned if a few people have more than two samples? Maybe you should be proud of your skills and then gain a more loyal follower. Look at the big picture. You have lost this customer and any recommendations that results in a broader customer base or market share. Soon you will lose the winter crowd and need a more loyal local base.
