Pricey and sound can be iffy.

点评：Nice enough theatre but always feel that the sound is poor - that might be down to the acoustics of the building. Not so bad if you're in the centre seats but the further out to the sides the worse the sound quality. Considering the price of the tickets, this is poor, and I usually try to find the show at a different venue for this reason.
This last visit, I tried to put my coat in the cloakroom so I didn't have to sit with on my knee or throw it under the seat. Unfortunately, I was told you can only use the cloakroom if you're an ATG member. Consequently, it was empty. Ridiculous - I was quite prepared to pay and, to be honest, what a wasted opportunity - they'd be better letting a local charity manage the cloakroom for the evening, and keeping the proceeds. The charity would benefit, people might be more inclined to contribute and the space wouldn't be standing empty. Another sad reflection of the decline of society from the times when theatregoers got dressed for the occasion.
Don't understand, either, why they've taken to checking tickets outside - the foyer is large enough to be able to do this under cover, and they have to let you through anyway if you're picking tickets up from the Box Office, so it makes no sense.
And don't get me started on the ticket fees - no fees if you book and collect tickets at the Box Office, where they are paying for a member of staff to use their electricity to physically print a ticket with ink on card, but if you do it all yourself at home, using none of their resources there's an Admin fee - what extra admin is that?
They have some good shows on here, but, at the price charged, there's better venues.
