点评：Pioneer Village in Minden, NE, is unlike any museum I’ve ever visited. It’s a treasure trove of history with something for everyone, making it a joy to explore. Inside, the collection is incredible—cars, planes, streetcars, trolley cars, and even a boat! Getting to step inside the San Francisco cable car and imagining its journey over the years was a highlight.
Outside, the circular courtyard is picturesque, surrounded by historic structures like old homes, a church, a schoolhouse, and even a diner. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there are large sheds filled with everything from vintage kitchens and bedrooms to quirky collections, including an impressive room of old computers rivaling Mountain View’s Computer History Museum.
The main building is comfortable, but the sheds are unairconditioned, making summer visits tough. I’d recommend coming in cooler weather. Located in a small town near a grain elevator, this unique piece of Americana is perfect for families. I’d happily visit again!
