Caney Safari Zoological Park is such a hidden gem in Kansas! 🦁 From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the animals. The zoo itself is clean, well-kept, and offers a variety of animals you don’t often get to see up close. You're within 5 feet!!
What makes this place so special is how interactive it feels — you can tell the animals are well cared for, and many of them are more active and engaging than at larger zoos. It’s the perfect size to spend a few hours without feeling rushed or overwhelmed, which makes it especially great for families.
The educational aspect is also a huge plus. The staff takes time to share fun facts, answer questions, and make sure visitors of all ages walk away learning something new.
If you’re anywhere near Caney, this zoo is absolutely worth the stop. Affordable, memorable, and run with heart — I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could.
