Battle Harbour National Historic District的点评
点评：Battle Harbour was an absolute highlight of our 2 week trip around Newfoundland and Labrador. It was such a unique experience. We loved learning the history through a guided tour of the buildings; all the artefacts were clearly labelled. We even passed by icebergs on our way to the island. The food was fantastic, the accommodations were lovely and the staff were very accommodating. The true standout for us, though, was the people. Everyone we spoke to was warm and welcoming and the fact that everyone had a story to tell from their own experiences was incredible. Some of the staff's family have lived on this small island for many generations. I hope they receive some funding to maintain the last two of the paired Marconi Towers, which are on this island. It would be a shame to loose this part of history. When telling people about our trip, we have told them about Battle Harbour and highly recommended going there.
