点评:For those of you interested in archaeology of the Mesolithic and Neolithic, this is the place for you. The entire site was moved to an indoor facility when the dam was built as the site would have been flooded. Nearly identically shaped trapezoidal houses were built on this site for thousands of years, all mimicking the shape of a nearby mountain peak. The number of dwellings and artifacts found are unusual for archaeological sites of this time period. Many of the artifacts on display in the museum are very good replicas (the originals in the National Museum in Belgrade and are absolutely worth seeing as well). Our guide, Ivan, was superb and he really gave us all the background knowledge needed to really understand and appreciate the site. Ivan mentioned that if visiting during the summer, the building (which is basically a greenhouse) gets incredibly hot inside. We visited in the fall and it was quite comfortable.
