点评：My wife and I decided to experience Iceland via a cruise. It was amazing, and since it was a cruise, we had several nice group tour/adventure experiences. They were great, but NONE came close to our Eastfjords Adventures time with Michael. We decided to avoid the crowds and busses that go with most excursions, and book one special private tour experience. We chose these folks to show us the Seyðisfjörður area waterfalls. And we’re so glad we did.
We had limited time due to our cruise departure. I explained the time constraints, and what we were interested in seeing. Despite the time limits, we had high hopes, and we weren’t disappointed!
We met Michael at the Eastfjords Adventures business location which was ideally located near where we docked. Michael first confirmed our likes and dislikes, appetite for hiking, adventure, etc. Then he took us on a tour well above and beyond our expectations. Michael took us to see several amazing, UNCROWDED sites. We saw the spectacular waterfalls we had been hoping for, and so much more.
Michael made the most of our time and gave us a variety of unforgettable experiences. He was very careful to make sure we made it back in time, and we comfortably did. Late in the tour, we were enjoying our off-road lonely and amazing view of the town and fjord below. As we were expecting to happily wrap it up, he said “we can get in one more thing.” To top off a fantastic tour he took us to yet another amazing waterfall.
One of the best things about a private tour with a great guide is getting to know your guide, asking questions, and hearing stories. We learned about some unusual local history, the truly interesting story of Icelandic sheep farming, waterfall activity throughout the seasons, etc. We left feeling enriched about our knowledge of Iceland and Seyðisfjörður in particular. We also left with the feeling that we had made a friend in Michael.
