A stunning wildlife experience - unmissable
Wildlife Wonders Sri Lanka的点评
点评：The absolute highlight of our stay in Tangalle was the boat safari in this reserve.
I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature. The river was utterly beautiful in the early morning light with stunning waterlilies and an amazing array of birds, as well as some mammals, like the rare giant squirrel with a gorgeous fluffy tail. It is well worth the early morning start though evening tours are also available.
Being propelled by a paddle rather than a motor (like punting) meant we did not disturb the wildlife at all and we saw too many to list and learned lots about them. Our wonderful guide Anjula and boatman Chinthaka made a great team. They were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made a great team. They went out of their way to help us get the most of the trip, finding the best spots for shots, they were very patient and their love for the wildlife and the environment shone through.
We loved it so much we booked another trip the next morning and it was just as great. If I could go again I would, I never wanted it to end.
The boats are pretty easy to get on and the water so calm even nervous passengers should enjoy it.
If say if you only do one thing on Tangalle, do this.
