We had high hopes for Meryal Waterpark in Doha, but our day was ruined when someone stole our money. The staff tried to help, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved. Security told us the cameras were too far away and didn’t capture anything clearly.
They offered us some water and Pepsi, which felt like a small gesture under the circumstances. Meanwhile, my child was very upset — she missed out on most of the fun because I had to deal with the situation. Many of the slides require two or even four people, so she couldn’t ride alone.
We expected a fun family day, but instead, it turned into a stressful and frustrating experience. I hope Meryal improves its security measures and customer support going forward.
