New favorite ride in Iceland
Kirkjufell Horse Center的点评
点评：I have ridden horses in Iceland at a variety of facilities and across a variety of terrain, and this one is at the top of my list. I would absolutely go again and make Kirkjufell Horse Center a regular stop on any of my trips. First of all, the horses were truly incredible. Many "tourist" places have hundreds of horses and you lose the personal touch when trail guides don't really know the horses. I loved that Kirkjufell Horse Center is a family operation that breeds and trains many of its own horses, which enhances the experience.
I went on the 3-hour Mountain Ride and it really is best suited for experienced riders. There was a bit of rough terrain which some people decided to get off and walk over. We also went plenty fast with lots of tölt just like you hope for in Iceland. My horse was forward and responsive, and I felt completely safe the whole time.
Even if you're not an experienced rider, I'm confident they have a ride to suit your needs. But, if you are experienced and want to get the real experience, this is one of the most beautiful rides I've been on in the country, along with well-behaved, willing, and smooth-tölting horses.
