Sun Valley Resort的点评
点评：We came here for a week of skiing with our grown children. Let me start by saying this is NOT a beginner mountain. The greens are really blues and the blues are really a black run any where else. The rating system is not the same every where. This is why there is Dollar Mountain. If you are a true beginner then base yourself at this mountain.
The mountain is laid out well with the 2 main base lifts taking you to the summit where from there you can access the rest of the mountain.
We ate at all of the mountain restaurants- For the view- Saddle Ridge lodge- great food and beautiful spot.
For a memorable experience- The Round House- you need to make a reservation and it is expensive, but the experience is well worth it and the views are also beautiful.
Look out Lodge- old school ambiance and casual- good Mexican food and less expensive .
Both bases are large and beautiful, with fireplaces, full service restaurants, clean bathrooms, cubbies for your gear, free parking ( the River Run Base also has wagons to use and people manning the area for drop off).
The River Run base also has free Apres music on the weekends and a larger selection of ski rentals. This is also where the gondola is located.
We were based at the Warm Springs base which was much quieter and less hectic.
Free mountain tours leave at 9:30 am also from the River Run base.
To me this is a vacation type mountain, with fine dining on the mountain and in town, great shopping, easy to get to either base and friendly staff.
