点评:My daughter's family and myself were so fortunate to find this informative, interesting and totally enjoyable tour. Upon arriving, we were impressed with the cleanliness and pride that was so obviously taken by the family of José, our tour guide and welcoming host.
We decided on this particular event because my granddaughter didn't wish to spend hours on a tequila bus with loud music and drunk patrons. Also, because we were staying in the city of Tequila we found most tours left from Guadalajara and were 8-9 hours long. This one was 2 12 hours of quality time spent learning about the history of the population and naming tequila, the cultivating of agave, the benefits of an organic product, how agave crowns are distilled from beginning to end and the final tasting experience. This tour was also one of the few available on New Years Eve.
We were given an explanation of how the agave reproduces, the optimum age of their harvest, how animals help to fertilize the fields, and finally, we were offered to harvest a baby agave if we so chose. Frankly, it was hard work! The soil is full of stones and, of course, we weren't experienced, but it was something that will forever be a memory for me.
