Fantastic visit with Panom, the elephant

点评：Coconut Elephant Camp was the highlight of our trip. Panom, their elephant, is a wonderful animal. We 'stumbled' across their place and so glad we did. We fed Panom bananas at the beginning and end of our visit. We walked Panom to a nearby river and hopped in with him to give him a scrub. The path to the river was tranquil, paused at a temple on the way, staff stopped and picked mangosteen fruit for us to eat.
There didn't seem to be any time pressure, we were ready to head back before Panom. The staff were fantastic, taking many photos and videos from two devices. They were happy to answer our many questions.
I felt Panom was well looked after by the family and I'd consider this an authentic place to visit.
I'd thoroughly recommend spending time here and would go back again.
