点评：Whilst the collection of clothes, toys, wheels, models etc. etc. by the house’s original owner will not be to everybody’s taste, it is unique, very well presented and, I confess extraordinary.
There is a bit of a treck from the car park to the house but you can use the NT buggy and it is a gentle up and down well maintained path.
The house is not a typical country house, rather a succession of smallish rooms full of extravagant and weird artefacts collected (and used in the case of the clothes) by a colourful and eccentric collector who died in the middle of the last century.
The room supervisors were less intrusive than some in NT properties which was good. Helpful when asked rather than constantly interrupting.
The cafe by the entrance gate was one of the best I have been to for some time.
Overall, a visit which was well worthwhile and if you like the bizarre, probably unique amongst the NT estate.
