3.According to regional tradition, the Jatashankar caves are considered to be sacred due to their identification with the spot where Shiva is said to have concealed himself from the wrath of Bhasmasura.
4.It is also thought to be where Lord Shiva performed his cosmic dance of Tandav.
5.You can only visit here with Gypsy or with personal vechicle. It is ghat area and if you are not expert don’t go by personal vehicle.
6.Network is also not strong, hence download the map before going.
7.Good adventures & religious place with unique beauty.
8.The Shivling is situated in the cave and our feet touch the running water.
9.There are many bathing pools at this place.
10.Jatashankar Temple is believed to be more than 5,000 years old and was built during the Gupta period.
11.The main idol of Lord Shiva inside the temple is made of black marble, giving it a unique and exquisite appearance.
