点评：I don’t write as many reviews as I should, but there was no question about doing a review for Coastline Adventures! Absolutely everything about this experience and this business was exceptional! We loved it so much that we actually went for a second full day trip.😁 We’re we would definitely recommend the full day trip as there’s just so much to see and do.
We went with Captain Ron and his first mate Dontae and they are top notch. They were both knowledgeable, kind, warm and friendly people that ensured that your day spent with them would be awesome. They are also a load of fun and entertaining. Truly kind people that wanted you to have an unforgettable experience.
If you’re reading this, then you already know all the great things you do during the day with them, so I won’t go into a lot of detail there.
My fiancé said that he was afraid of sharks, but they are so gentle and it’s awesome to be in the water and have them swimming all around you. Well worth it, and he loved it as well.
The pigs! It’s just so crazy to be in the water and have pigs swimming around you and to the boat. Some of them are very big, but the guys on the boat will tell you what to do if you don’t want them near you. They feed them crackers and even have them standing on their back legs for a treat. You can also go up on the beach to where the little shelter is for the pigs and check out the piglets.
Snorkeling in that beautiful clear water is amazing! We took our own snorkel equipment, but they do provide it on the boat as well. If you don’t have any experience snorkeling, don’t worry because they will help you and make sure that you are comfortable and safe. We snorkeled a sunken plane in about 8-10 feet of water surrounded by beautiful fish and a sunken piano with a concrete mermaid sitting next to the piano.
We snorkeled into the grotto twice, since we did the trip twice, once at low tide and once at a higher tide and they were very different experiences. It is well worth swimming in there and experiencing the awe-inspiring beauty of the grotto. The guys stay with you and make sure you are safe going in and out. Also a great place to snorkel as it is totally full of beautiful fish. We bought a waterproof camera since we didn’t really want to take our phones in and would highly recommend getting one for this trip. We have awesome underwater pictures from all the places we visited.
We did not do the lunch buffet, just brought sandwiches in a small cooler. Really didn’t want to have that much food when would be snorkeling and swimming for the rest of the afternoon. We stayed on the boat and ate our lunch and then jumped in and snorkeled around the dock while waiting for the others to finish at the restaurant.
Experiencing the Exuma islands from the water, I think, is really the only way to truly appreciate the beauty of where you are. The different colors of the water, all of the little uninhabited islands, and the awesome job the captain does of taking you into little coves and caves is just beyond words! Even all of the pictures I took don’t do it justice. It’s just absolutely beautiful, and yes, you can see the color of the water from the shore, but when you’re out there flying across it, it’s a whole different experience, and well worth it!
When we did our second trip, we told Captain Ron and Dontae that we wanted to bring home one of the conch shells that they dive for to make the conch salad. They said no problem and got one all cleaned up on the outside for us. We were halfway back to our house after the day when we realized we had forgotten the shell and we were flying out the next morning so we assumed there was no way to get it. But the next morning, my phone rang and it was the Bob, the owner of Coastline Adventures and he said you forgot your shell. I told him we realized that and were so unhappy about it. He asked where we were staying, which was 36 minutes away from the marina where you go out on the boat. He said I’m going to drive it down to you. Can you even believe that? So we came home with a beautiful conch shell thanks to the very kind owner of the company. The whole little family run business is just full of that kind of people and we loved them! 💕
If you’re having any question about whether this trip is worth it, it absolutely is! You don’t need to look any farther or investigate any other companies, believe me, I looked at tons and Coastline Adventures exceeded our expectations in every way!
