点评:Our first visit to The Wind in the Willows Trail which was recommended to us was great and is single buggy friendly great for families.
The rest of the wood had a few more bumpy obstacles which we were told about in advance. Staff were very friendly especially the lady at the entrance.
Signposts and the blue numbered trail markers were clearly visible.
We spent 3-4 hours there as we did quite a bit more than the Wind in the Willows trail but not all of it. The carved wooden characters were beautiful, and squirrels were quite fascinating and made wonderful photo opportunities.
A beautiful introduction to nature and wildlife for little ones.
Blackberry bushes were in abundance although not ripe enough so yet another reason to go back.
Car parking was free...a suggested donation was displayed. We gave 5.00 as was suggested for families.
My only niggle is that there were lots of nettles overhanging the paths,as were wandering thorned blackberry bushes. Not so good for the height of tiny people...so of course Grandpa went first...and we took the opportunity to talk about stinging nettles and thorns and being careful.I loved the place and we will return.....
