A wonderful walk nearly ruined by an out of control e-bike rider!

点评：We started our walk in Okehampton with breakfast in the lovely cafe opposite the railway cafe platform. Marvellous selection of food and plenty of it, all served by very friendly staff.
Fueled by the very good food we set off for Lydford where we would be staying the night.
The walk is very easy as hard surface almost all of the way and no hills. It rained now and then along our way but nothing too heavy and you can shelter here and there if you need. There are places along the way that offer coffee and food but we were fine without.
Where the walk takes you over the viaduct the scenery is spectacular in showcasing the beauty of Dartmoor. As it was springtime there were lambs bleating in all of the fields and spring blossom everywhere. Walking in the pure fresh air made even fresher by the occasional shower was invigorating and so enjoyable.
Until our day was almost ruined by two out of control e-bike riders who appeared out of nowhere around a bend that was on an downward incline from their direction. The tarmac was wet and they screamed as they almost hit us, only just managing to swerve at the last moment as this all happened in seconds.
We were incredibly lucky and also lucky not to be walking with small children or dogs.
A wonderful walk and a enjoyable day but I would warm other walkers that not all e-bike riders on this trail know what they're doing.
