西侧市场的点评
点评：West Side Market is a must see & experience destination. Parking is plentiful (during a week day, I cannot speak to a weekend), and inexpensive, and the selection of vendors is fantastic! There are two separate buildings, so let's look at Building 1, which has an amazing vaulted ceiling (so don't forget to look up).
There's an import market in one corner, so the foodie in you (or the person who loves a foodie and needs a great gift) can find a variety of specialty ingredients. From Calabrian Chiles & Moroccan Preserved Lemons to the utterly viral Dubai Chocolate and charcuterie worthy cheese, be sure to stop in that import market. If you need something to consume relatively quickly, there are vendors with Irish pasties and gourmet enchilada, polish sausages and a sit down counter serving breakfast & lunch. If you're hankering for something sweet, well...well...pies, macaroons, cookies, cakes, donuts, candies. Meats, cheeses, hot sauce and more are available, as well as vegan options and some GF, too! The second building featured an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables that were so beautiful and unblemished that they hardly looked real. And again, there was some exceptional produce that just isn't available in most local grocery store. The Market is closed on Thursdays, and cash is preferred as many vendors have a minimum purchase or surcharge when using a credit card. Take your own bags, if you can. The vendors will appreciate it!
