点评：Arcadia Valley is Missouri’s Best Kept Secret. An out door adventurers paradise.
Elephant Rocks bolsters Mother Natures Playground with gigantic smooth boulders and impressive views, the park features both short and long hiking paths—great for all ages. There are places to picnic and day camp.
Ironton is a small community that welcomes visitors. It’s a great place to stop and shop or enjoy a meal. Many historical attractions to visit, including a drive by the old haunted Hospital, no longer open for viewing and definitely not accepting new patients. The visitors center is located in the old Train Depot.
You may be a history buff and if so, visiting the actual battlefield at Pilot Knob is a must! One of the few places that still features reenactments on the actual Battlefield. There is a historical museum at the site that you will want to visit. Look for dates for the BIG event weekend and plan ahead or stop by the Museum most days, hours posted online.
Also nearby is a great place to camp and swim. Johnson Shut Ins is a beautiful river of rocks, more of the picturesque giant granite boulders. Make sure you take river shoes to wear and bring your sunscreen!
Hotels and B&Bs make this destination a great weekend getaway! Best times are during peak Fall Season for the amazing views. Ironton also has amazing festivals and during the fall Homecoming weekend, will feature a parade with floats that will amaze you!
