Wat Phra That Phanom的点评
点评：I spent three days in That Phanom and visited this temple every day. In fact, it's impossible not to as it sits smack bang in the middle of town. It's a large complex with numerous out buildings, prayer rooms and gardens all focused on one prominent white pagoda. It's all at an unrushed pace, with pilgrims outnumbering tourists by a wide margin. You can find a quiet spot here.
According to legend, the original stupa was built in 525 BCE, though carbon 14 dating suggests around 600-700 AD. Who knows, really? In any event, the most recent restoration was in 1975, and the whole place looks rather clean and modern.
Chances are if you've made it to That Phanom, this won't be the first Thai temple you've ever visited. Still, it stands out for many reasons and is worth a couple of hours.
