点评：Worst experience I've ever had.
Would not recommend going here or giving these people any money.
Sister's birthday present.
I don't even know where to begin this review.
I'm a veteran so I couldn't buy tickets online with veteran discount I had to buy them in person I called 2 weeks in advance and then I called last week and they said they have plenty of equipment we even called this morning before we went up there no one gave any indication that their would be a shortage.
We drove an hour and a half to get there stood in line for another 30 minutes only to be told that wasn't any equipment available for us to rent. They said we were welcome to hang out and wait and see if someone returned to equipment but we would have to buy passes in order to do that so. in other words give them money and hang out and see if we can even ski.
It actually only took but 20 minutes for us to get the equipment and then we started our trip.
I had my sister it was her birthday present and my fiance with me they thought they could handle it without lessons so we hit the slopes first problem signs weren't big enough didn't know we were taking a more advanced path and the girls kept wiping out.
When we got back to the top they went over to take lessons only to find out it was going to be another $24 a piece that's on top of the money we already spent for the tickets.
They decided to just watch the kids ski and see if they can figure it out which ultimately they did.
In the meantime because I was a little more experienced I hit the slopes and let me tell you that's where the real problems started.
I'm experienced but I haven't been snowboarding in a while I was trying to get my bearings I kept stopping wiping out and there wasn't a single person on this mountain that tried to help me in fact all the kids that were ranging from I would say 9 and 10 years old all the way up to 15 we're pointing and laughing throwing stuff from the ski lifts dropping f-bombs and faggots left and right.
This is not a family friendly atmosphere.
At one point I wiped out, went face first into the ice and busted my nose so bad it was bleeding left a blood spot right where I fell and I had blood running from both the outside and inside of my nose is all the way down my chest.
not one single person including ski patrol stopped to help no one even asked if I was okay.
I rode the ski lift back up and went back down again and it wasn't until my second trip covered in blood that the kid that was operating the ski lift at the bottom asked me if I was okay.
Because I busted my face and didn't want to do it again I went and got my motorcycle helmet out of the back of my car and I put that on and decided to use that the rest of the day that didn't help the situation though, because I'm the only person on the mountain wearing a motorcycle helmet and when I say almost 95% I mean almost 95% of these kids were laughing pointing making jokes like I wasn't good enough like I wasn't nothing and that I needed to leave.
We went to the cafe about 2:00 got a couple of cheeseburgers and some cheese curds everything came out cold my fiance decided to go back up and try to get some hot stuff and the girl at the cafeteria window gave her a bunch of attitude I went upstairs to go get a Bud light and all three of the girls that were working up there acknowledged me but walked by me for 10 minutes before I finally had to flag one of them down and tell them I needed a drink.
Some kid had to get airlifted to University of Iowa he got hurt so bad and everyone on the mountain was making fun of him including some of the staff members laughing and joking about it.
I'm 36 years old and I have been working in hospitality and customer service my entire life I have never felt so disrespected by anyone.
first off you always treat your customers with respect and if there is one guest causing problems saying things like these kids were saying you don't take the kids side just because they're season pass holders you go up to the kids and you tell them to knock it off if they don't you enforce consequences like taking their passes for a week or a month. second if a customer has a legitimate complaint you do everything you can to rectify the situation because the last thing you want is someone doing exactly what I'm doing here giving bad publicity to my establishment.
I think what irritated me the most is that at checkout I asked to speak to a manager I think his name was Steve or Scott or something like that I don't remember we only spoke for a couple of minutes I told him everything I just mentioned in this review and he just laughed it off I can tell there was absolutely no care in his voice about anything I said he just said we know it's a problem.
I wasn't looking for a free ride I wasn't looking for return tickets or reimbursement originally I just wanted someone to know what was going on and someone to act like they cared but apparently that was too much to hope for.
one last thing I do want to mention it was a group of kids up here I would say they were somewhere between 18 and 22 at most.
probably a dare or a game but they didn't have any shirts on.
I grew up with jackass and CKY I did it they probably thought they were being funny or tough and I'm not complaining saying it was inappropriate (sexually) but the two things that cross my mind when I saw them.
1. that cannot be safe, there's almost no natural snow on the ground so the snow that was up there the stuff that came from that machines was very thin and icy that was dangerous if those kids would have wiped out a very easily on a tore up a good portion of their upper bodies causing accidents that I would think this establishment wouldn't want I on their record.
2. and I don't know if this is just the father in me but when I saw that I got mad cuz it was almost like they were promoting stupidity, you got all these young kids running around And when they see this they might try to copy it think that it's cool or something which now becomes a safety concern for kids but also even though I wasn't that cold we're still in the middle of winter last thing I would want is one of my kids doing something like that and winding up sick because of it.
as I said absolute worst experience worst vacation I've ever had would not recommend but my personal feelings aside just straight facts
