Glorious morning on route 1 via ferrata
Rockwire Via Ferrata Mt Buller的点评
点评：My 14 year old son and I went on the Via Ferrata (route 1) at Mt Buller with Rockwire in late April. He has done some high ropes courses; I’ve done some lead and sport climbing outdoors some time ago, as well as indoor climbing. We both really enjoyed our morning out with Rockwire!
James was great with the booking, including my discount as a Mt Buller season ticket holder. Book online more than a day ahead to let Rockwire plan its work.
Ben was great with the equipment and safety demonstration. We had a small group. It was a quick drive up through the village past Pendergast hut, then walk past Mt Buller summit with great views down the Howqua valley, Lake Eildon and the west ridge. Ben gave us good background on the environment and told us about the protection installation work! He’s an experienced outdoor educator and climber, as well as fun and interesting company.
There are plenty of holds and it felt safe. It wasn’t physically hard and the views are great. Nice stop halfway for a break in the sunshine. The teenager had no problems and enjoyed it. He’s strongly interested in route 2!
I’d highly recommend the morning out with the Rockwire team, especially if you’re a regular winter visitor to Buller - it’s fun to see the green slopes and gain a different perspective.
