点评：The greed of the owners absolutely ruined this place. Wachusett used to be an affordable option for people that couldn’t afford to drive up north to the better mountains. However the owners have seem to become so focused on maximizing their profit margins that now they charge similar amounts if not more than the better mountains up north while offering less than 1/4 of the experience. I can pay $119 for a whole day at mount snow, or pay $99 for 4 hours at wachusett, make that make sense. I understand the costs to run the mountain have gone up a little, but if the profit margins of the owners have increased dramatically in the last few years it negates the ‘cost’ argument. They could easily make the costs more reasonable so that families that have enjoyed skiing/ snowboarding together for years could continue going, but instead they are seemingly choosing to pad their retirements that much more instead leaving those families to have to find new more affordable hobbies. The owners should be ashamed of themselves, but won’t be because they apparently only care about money and not providing a fun experience to their entire community like wachusett mountain used to be known for. Avoid the extortion and drive up north to the real mountains, you’ll pay a similar amount and have a much better experience.
