A rewarding volunteering experience

点评：I joined this incredible cause with the aim of fulfilling a 1 week DofE residential, but ended up loving it so much I delayed my flights for a week and got so much more out of it!
Georgie and Penny welcomed me into the family in return for helping out with the dozens of horses they care for. I had a bed in their volunteer accommodation but spent most of my free time hanging out, having meals and playing darts with everyone. They run an impressive operation caring for the rescues and offering incredible beach ride experiences.
During my visit they even took me to a variety of other locations to appreciate different animal industries in the region, which has given me great insight and even ambition for my future career (potentially a wildlife vet!). It was a really rewarding trip that significantly developed me as a young person.
Oh and I can't forget all their lovely dogs making me feel at home :)
I highly recommend volunteering with them if you can, or even just supporting their efforts with a beautiful beach ride.
