Fantastic North Pantanal tour

点评：Excellent 6d/5n trip to the Northern Pantanal organized with Octavio and Pantanal Photo Tours. Planning, itinerary, lodging, and operations were all extremely smooth and well thought out, including the brief stay at Pousada Piuval for giant anteaters before going to the river for jaguars. We were able to capture some truly spectacular sightings across all kinds of wildlife including jaguars pouncing on the hunt, giant river otter cubs playing, tapirs bathing, cranes spearfishing, and much more.
Lodging was comfortable, clean, and very well designed for photographers with lots of gear. Food at Pousada Piuval was top notch and all of the other arrangements were excellent (e.g., comfortable late-model Toyota 4WD for transfers, churrascaria meal on final day). We had a major flight delay on the way in which Octavio and team handled quite smoothly, all the way to finding an overnight hotel for us which fortunately we did not end up needing to use.
Depending on your personal interests, Octavio and team offers a range of private and group tours with different focuses so I would suggest reaching out directly and communicating your interests (e.g., serious professional photography, family vacation, birders) and the Pantanal Photo Tours team will definitely take good care of you. Overall, we highly recommend Pantanal Photo Tours and would love to go back to explore both Northern and Southern Pantanal sometime soon with Octavio and team.
