Iowa Gold Star Military Museum的点评
点评：What a surprise! This gem is on the Camp Dodge base. Be sure that everyone has ID on them as you will need to show at the main gate to enter. There is no admission although a free will offering is graciously accepted. Adequate parking in front of the museum and there is also extra parking to the sides. Bathrooms inside are very nice and very clean. Staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. Only negative I found was very little seating available around the exhibits.
The exhibits are authentic and varied. All wars are covered and I was surprised at how much I learned. I enjoyed going in the MASH tent and fox holes. Cutouts of planes and helicopters really showcase how little room there was to maneuver. I especially liked the experience of the “Huey” helicopter. You got the experience of what it was like to fly in the sky.
I will definitely be returning as there was so much to take in. Great museum!!
