Elk Mountain Ski Resort的点评
点评：This was our first family ski outing, husband has been skiing once before & wife (me) was an intermediate skier in high school, 25 years ago. I think this is a good, well-run place, with two restaurants at the base, a cafeteria & a fancier restaurant, Winter Garden. The intro package was $110 for the lift on the bunny hill only, equipment, and a 90 min group lesson offered at 10am or 1pm. The bunny hill was pretty wide and allowed us to get acquainted with sliding on snow.
There were a lot of families esp with preschoolers, but also older kids and teens. There are restrooms at the old lodge, up on the hill, and downstairs at the cafeteria.
I was surprised at how sparse the crowd was on New Year's Day/Jan 1st. Snow conditions were less than ideal, but they have good snowmaking capability at Elk Mtn. I suspect if you go midweek you will have short lift lines & lots of room on the slopes.
