Easy Hike with Sturdy shoes - Beautiful views of the Canyon
W6 - Balcony Walk Hike的点评
点评：We stayed at the Panorama Guest house which is literally at the starting point of the W6-Balcony hike trail. It can easily be reached in a 2WD SUV. High clearance is recommended but not essential in the dry season. We went in April and there were many sedans and 2WD SUV's along the way. There are a few sections of gravel road, but as long as you drive slow you should be fine.
The hike itself is very easy. A gradual decline entering the canyon and return the same way walking up gradually. At no point did we find the steep drop precarious. We walked as far as the the mangled Jeep which isn't hard to spot. It takes about 45 mins to and hour at normal pace (while taking photos). Had a small picnic and returned back. In all we walked for about 2.5 hours.
We started about 5.45 am, the light gradually hits the inner rim of the canyon as you walk down which makes for a stunning sight. Sunset is equally beautiful however you are in the shadows.
Overall worth the effort to get to this unique part of Oman.
