Extremely disappointing experience and very poor organization

点评：Our experience with the chimpanzee trekking was extremely disappointing, particularly because of the lack of communication, organization and willingness to help.
The most frustrating part is that we had actually tried to avoid exactly this kind of situation. The day before the trekking, we visited the same park for other activities. Four different people from our group asked the staff **more than four times** exactly where and at what time we needed to go the following morning for the chimpanzee trekking. We repeatedly asked for clear instructions, but we never received a clear or consistent answer about the exact entrance we should use.
For the other activities we had done that day, we paid **on arrival**. We were also not asked to prepay for the chimpanzee trekking or given any clear instructions that a different procedure applied.
So, based on the information we had received, we arrived at the designated entrance at 5:00 a.m., exactly as instructed. The problem was that **the entire park was completely closed**. There was nobody there to receive us, nobody to guide us, and apparently not even the security staff had arrived at that time. We were simply left standing outside in the early morning with no information and no way of knowing what was happening.
After approximately two hours, at around 7:00 a.m., staff finally appeared. Instead of helping us resolve the situation, we were told that we had come to the wrong entrance and that we would need to drive another **three hours** to reach a different entrance if we still wanted to do the trekking.
We were also asked to pay an **extremely expensive additional amount**, which we found completely unreasonable, especially considering that the problem had resulted from the lack of clear information provided to us.
The way the staff handled the situation was just as disappointing. There was very poor communication between the different reception desks, and rather than coordinating among themselves and finding a solution, they were putting **us, the tourists, in the position of making phone calls, explaining the situation repeatedly and trying to coordinate between the different staff members ourselves**.
We had done everything we could to get the correct information in advance. We had asked repeatedly, we arrived at the requested time, and we went to the entrance we understood we had been instructed to use. Yet we lost two hours waiting, were then told we were at the wrong location, were expected to travel another three hours, and were asked to pay an additional fee that was extraordinarily expensive.
This was not simply an unfortunate misunderstanding. It was a serious failure of communication and organization, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse.
The chimpanzee trekking itself may be a wonderful experience, but based on our experience, we **cannot recommend the organization of this activity**. If you are planning to visit, make sure you obtain the exact entrance, meeting point, time and full price in writing beforehand, because the information provided by the staff was neither clear nor consistent.
