点评：Be aware. I agree with descriptions of the facilities. Stayed at Darksky for 4 nights and during the week it was quiet and peaceful, totally off grid camping. Until last night. I understand management (?) cannot control who/ how people act but they CAN enforce rules. There is no enforcement here. Random people can just come in any and all hours of the night, ignoring boundaries and rules. No cars ( there is an expectation of no white light after sunset) past the gate after sunset. Cars driving around, one as late as 12:30am driving down the road. After a stargazing “event”, people were outside talking, laughing after “quiet” hours started at 11pm. No consideration or thought for the reasonable expectation of being able to sleep at midnight/ 1am. Sound carries ALOT here. Know that you will hear every conversation of every camping site you can see. It was the couple who showed up around 7pm, setting up a tent/ air mattress/ chairs and a cooler in a NON- camping site and not in the star gazing observation area that confirmed Manitoulin Eco Park will pretty much let anyone do what they want, wherever they want. They were not camping here at Darksky, their intention was to stay up and watch the stars. Again, having full blown conversations past midnight. And then packing up loudly at 6:30am this morning. A sent email and phone call/ message left for Manitoulin Eco Park remain unanswered.
