Bahrain Fort的点评
点评：This is a very impressive fort in Bahrain and is situated by the ancient Dilmun harbour. It is free to walk around the fort itself and you can go inside. There are some display boards that you can read once you go inside the fort which are worth reading in cooler months but the information is available in the Bahrain Fort Site Museum. The museum costs 2.2 BHD per person and has lots of information about the area as well as artifacts they found nearby. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and there are a few other ruins nearby to check out too.
We did visit at the beginning of April so it was starting to get warm. We walked the entire path along the exterior and went into most areas we could for the fort. It was very cool inside and there are some rooms you can enter to see date juice making facilities and the well that provided fresh water to the fort. We spent about 45 minutes going around the fort and 45 minutes checking out the museum. Bring sun screen, water and a hat if you're going there in the hotter months. They do have a cafe at the museum with a very nice balcony overlooking the harbour which is now shallow and full of birds.
