奥兹维辛集中营博物馆的点评
点评：Our son visited the Auschwitz Museum during a secondary school history trip a couple of years ago, it was his wish that we went together, we’d put off going during our previous visit as a family, as he was a little young to appreciate the magnitude,
We booked direct with the museum 90 days prior to our preferred date, booked the trains via the KOLEO app 30 days prior, journey there was faultless, train back slightly delayed, but so very easy to organise yourself,
On arrival we had a coffee at the onsite restaurant, and waited for our tour time slot, through airport style security and met our tour guide Joanna at 11.30, she was the most amazing guide, moving along at a pace that suited us, making sure we knew exactly what we were looking at, and the extent of the suffering endured,
I don’t need to describe what went on, you’ll more than likely already know, if not, visit yourself and see/hear the history,
We left full of emotion and knowledge, it’s an experience that will never leave us, and I’m pleased we had the opportunity to visit Auschwitz Birkenau as a family.
