A really nice insight into a local farm

点评：We visited the farm one afternoon and found it really interesting! While it's not a scientific/botanical tour, it's a super look into a life on a local farm, and an introduction into locally grown plants, fruits and herbs. I particular found interesting harvesting patterns, and interaction between livestock and the plants on the farm. The farm is run by a couple who relocated here 30 years ago, and they were both very generous with sharing information about their life on the island and experiences in general.
As a tourist it's easy to have a superficial travel experience, without really learning anything about the life of the people here. I can only recommend visiting a place like Quinta Selvagem to get a small insight into local life. I think anyone with basic curiosity will have a chance to learn something, not to mention walk away with their belly full of lovely local produce and products.
