点评:An incredible experience - start to finish. The team in the office at Freewheeling Adventures planned everything and communicated it effectively. When we met with our team, our guides Stephanie and Jesse immediately took over all the worries and chores associated with the trip. All we had to do was ride and enjoy ourselves.
The best way I can describe the overall Freewheeling experience is that it is the cycling version of "glamping". Staying in very nice, cozy accommodations, being handed room keys and having our bags waiting for us in our rooms at the end of the day's ride, and then enjoying really good meals everywhere.
And then there is the challenge and enjoyment of the ride itself. As I found out, Cape Breton is not nearly as flat as I thought!!!
One other good aspect of the trips is the small group size. Although they can accommodate a maximum of 13 people, our tour size was 8 people. We got to know each other well, spending most of 7 days together. Our group included Americans and Canadians, with people from Ontario, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and Massachusetts.
Our guides were great. Very friendly and eager to address any needs or concerns we might have. Also, one of the two is always riding at the back of the group to ensure that they are able to help riders or bikes that need assistance.
