点评:My wife and I own a farm with Norwegian heritage (1852) in Wisconsin. We are fascinated by the story behind the original settlers from Norway so this museum was a perfect choice to learn more. It delivered.
The entrance corridor was lined with dreadful paintings depicting different aspects of Norwegian folk history. Pass through as fast as you can. The rest of the museum is chock full of items of great beauty and interesting histories. The museum is rambling and some rooms may not be of interest. I particularly liked a large room that housed a boat that traveled the Atlantic manned by two brothers. Excellent. I also liked the quirky exhibit that listed the different items brought over in trunks by folks either maybe a limited idea of where they were going. A miller brought his grinding stones because he heard there were no rocks in the new territory. Delightful.
