点评:The Glacier lagoon in Skaftafell national park is a really interesting and emotion provoking experience. It is easy to just sit and look, be in the moment and appreciate what is in front of you. The number of "icebergs" depends on the glacial carving which is unpredictable so no two days at the lagoon will be the same.
Its harrowing really as whilst it is a wonderful sight, we are witnessing global warming first hand, watching a glacial tongue thousands and thousands of years old breaking up and melting right before you. In the time of a visit it is easy to feel a sense of peace and serenity but then also shame and urgency to do something about the environmental crisis we find ourselves in on this planet.
Regardless of how much ice is before you, it is well worth a visit as you can learn more from a visit to a glacial lagoon like this than you can from any newspaper.
