点评:My son and I spent two wonderful days staying at the Elderberry campsite at Horse Creek Lodge. Our goal was to ride the McKenzie River Trail(MRT) and do some rafting if time permitted.
The campsites are large, well spaced out with privacy. The bathrooms are clean, and showers are hot and refreshing after a long day's ride.
The highlight for us was riding the MRT. It is long (26+ miles), absolutely gorgeous and pretty hard in some sections (lava rocks). You see multiple amazing waterfalls, the blue pool is unreal (!) and crossing over 20+ bridges is so much fun.
Gary and Elisa (hope I got name right) are excellent hosts. The information on the shuttle ride Gary gave us made all the difference! He actually turns out on the drive up to show you where a bridge is burnt out and you need to take a detour, the location of the water fountain without which we would been out of water for 60% of the ride, and advise on how to avoid parts of the trail that have too many lava rocks.
I will be back again to explore this area further and plan to stay again at Horse Creek Lodge. Thank you Gary and Elisa!

我会再回来进一步探索这片区域,并计划再次入住Horse Creek Lodge。谢谢Gary和Elisa!
