Our family did the Pecorina & sheep experience with cheese tasting, and we really loved it. Elia explained the different types of aged cheeses in a very easy-to-understand and engaging way, including how to pair them with snacks. My favourite was the 60-day aged cheese with dried apricot, and the ricotta was super fresh and light.
Elia also shared the history of the farm and his cheese-making journey. You can truly feel his passion for the farm and his interesting produce. We asked lots of questions and he was always patient and happy to chat. We were also pleasantly surprised by the beer jelly — such a unique product! We bought some to bring home after he shared ideas on how to use it in recipes.
Overall, it was a very authentic and memorable farm experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a real taste of farm life and amazing local cheese.
