Khao Lak Elephant Sanctuary By Kes的点评
点评：Group of four friends staying in Khoa Lak Eden Beach Resort.
Short 20 minute trip to the sanctuary which was included in the price.
We were put in a small group of six (including our four) so not crowded at all.
Shown how to make the elephant treats while being given a detailed explanation of the elephants etc. This is done while overseeing the elephants so you get to see them from the start.
You then get to feed the four elephants while the guide continues to talk with you.
A walk with one of the elephants into the surrounding jungle area is followed by watching another bath in the lake area. The visit ended with us hosing down the elephant.
There is no riding, no bathing with the elephants and minimal touching (only while feeding and that really is minimal as the guide is close at hand).
We all felt the elephants were treated well and cared for. It looked like you could book a home stay so that made us think even more that no mis treatment took place as the elephants are in sight of the accommodation.
All in all a great trip that lasted c2 1/2 hours plus transfer (we booked the short option).
If you are planning an elephant trip you can’t go to wrong with this one.
