A tardis of a museum, with terrific cafe.
Brenzett Aeronautical Museum的点评
点评:There's so much to look at here. A brief introduction from the volunteers sets the scene before you explore. Each room seems to lead to at least one more, the exhibits are many and varied, but not over crammed and good explanatory notes. Many examples of aircraft wreckage and shrapnel found locally. We liked the personal stories of local service personnel and others in war service alongside those serving, injured, or lost in the area. As the building housed Land Army girls in WWII, it's fascinating to see their experiences too.
The admission is just £6 per adult. Open weekends only. Cafe food and prices are impressive too: sausage rolls, pasties and pastries £2.50, generous homemade cake slices £3.50. Teas and coffees etc.
Volunteers on hand to answer any questions, well worth a visit, we thought an hour would do it, we spent nearly three educational hours there.
