点评：My father was born on the island of Kefalonia nearly 100 years ago. I was interested in taking the Footsteps of Farsa tour, knowing that it would be a window into the word of my Dad's childhood. This island has a fascinating history, and so many stories. The Footsteps tour was an ideal way to see, learn, listen to and imagine the past of Kefalonia. Arthur took us on a fascinating and thoughtful three hour guided walking tour through history in the traditional village of Farsa. With the ruins of the village as a backdrop, Arthur recounted the challenging history of Farsa, which included the 1953 earthquake, the Italian and German occupations during World War II, and much more. He also enthusiastically captured what daily life in Farsa and other villages like it on the island had been like. Arthur’s care and concern for our comfort was greatly appreciated. He also takes care of keeping the paths clear and safe, with his trusty sidekick, Lexi the dog. After our walk, we enjoyed Arthur and his wife Claire’s hospitality on the rooftop for a refreshment. Every traditional village on the island should have an Arthur as it's caretaker and historian! It was a marvelous experience!
