点评:The best thing about Plaka is the location: if you stay here, you are a short walking distance from all major places except the National Archeological Museum, which is also not far by the metro (like in all tourist capitals, you have to watch out for pickpockets, though we did not have any problems). The second best thing about Plaka is its vibe: I would not say its streets have remarkable architecture, and I expected the main Sintagma Square maybe to be a bit more dressed-up. But the atmosphere is vibrant (reminded me of the East Village in Manhattan), and everywhere in Plaka there are cafes and eateries full of people. The restaurant service is mostly friendly, and some of them have live music at night. Just remember that in those souvenir shops you will pay more than somewhere outside of Plaka (though selection is probably bigger). In any case, it is a pleasant stroll after demanding tours of the Acropolis or the Acropolis Museum.
